Are most of major cities located in the east or west?

The majority of major cities in the world are located in the Eastern Hemisphere. Approximately two-thirds of the world's population lives in the Eastern Hemisphere, which includes Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Most of the world's largest and most populous cities, such as London, Tokyo, Mumbai, New York City, Shanghai, Beijing, and Seoul, are situated in the Eastern Hemisphere. The Western Hemisphere, which includes North America, South America, and Antarctica, contains a smaller proportion of major cities.
