What places are river deltas found?
River deltas are found where rivers meet the sea, lake, or another body of water. They are formed by the deposition of sediment carried by the river over time. Deltas are often found in areas with a low coastline and a large amount of sediment. Some of the largest river deltas in the world include the Ganges-Brahmaputra Delta in Bangladesh and India, the Yangtze Delta in China, and the Mississippi Delta in the United States.
