Slovakia's Rivers and Lakes

Though landlocked, Slovakia boasts significant freshwater resources. Three major rivers traverse the country: the Danube, Váh, and Hron. It also contains over 1,400 lakes, the largest and most famous being Štrbské Pleso in the High Tatras. These waters support tourism, hydropower, and biodiversity.
