What were the Moors doing in Europe 16th century?

In 1492, the last remaining Moorish kingdoms were conquered by the Spanish. With this action the Spanish Inquisition became much bolder in its actions. However, the Moors and conversos (Jews forcibly converted to Christianity) often hid their books, manuscripts and cultural artifacts throughout the Iberian Peninsula.

The Moors did not return to Europe in the 16th century.
