Did the Northern Renaissance spread to southern Italy?

The Northern Renaissance did not spread to southern Italy to any great extent. The Renaissance began in Italy in the late 13th century, and by the 15th century, it had spread to most of the Italian peninsula. However, southern Italy was relatively isolated from the rest of Italy, and it did not experience the same level of cultural and intellectual exchange that occurred in the north. As a result, the Northern Renaissance had little impact on southern Italy.
