Spain Nightclubs

Spanish art, democracy and culture exploded in the early 1980s, following the death of General Francisco Franco. The result was a countercultural movement called "La Movida Madrileña." Strict socio-religious mores gave way to freer forms of artistic and sexual expression, and nightclubs popped up all over major metropolises, especially Madrid and Barcelona. Today, Spain is still known for its raging nightlife, and there are dozens of "discotecas" at which you can drink and dance until dawn.
