Over 100 years old (1859), this historical museum gives visitors a glimpse into the early history of Rostock. Although the building (Holy Cross Convent) and its contents were damaged greatly during WWII, extensive renovations have put the CHM back on the international map as a noteworthy collection. Expect to enjoy a permanent display of medieval art and sixteenth to nineteenth century arts and crafts, amongst many other regional and historical pieces of interest.
