    The Freedom Trail

    • Walking is one of the best ways to get to know and see a new destination. The Freedom Trail is Boston and America's first walking tour, highlighting the rich history of Colonial Revolutionary Boston. A total of 16 historical sites are found on the Freedom Trail. A red, painted line or brick guides people along the trail to each stop. The Freedom Trail also allows visitors to experience modern Boston, creating a unique merging of the old and the new. It is a self-guided tour, so you can go at your own pace and pop into shops and restaurants to warm up on a cold day.

Guided tours or trolley ride tours stop at most of the historic sites as well, if you prefer not to do it on your own. Some sites featured on the Freedom Trail are the Boston Common, Feneuil Hall and Paul Revere's House. The Quincy Market is an indoor/outdoor market, where you can rest, shop and eat.

    Dining
