The Eiffel Tower is the premier tourist destination in France. Architectural elements, astonishing views and interesting history have made it a worldwide landmark for millions of visitors. Follow these steps to get to the top.
Take a cab to the tower.
Walk around the outside of the tower. Take pictures and read the informational kiosks.
Elevators are available from the ground level to the top observation deck. You can board the elevators here or on the second floor.
Climb the stairs to the second floor. The stairs are open to the public only to this level. Here you can jump on one of the elevators without having to wait in a big line like on the first floor...hopefully.
Three elevators go to the first and second observation decks, although usually only one or two are operating for security reasons. The elevators go up to the top about every 8 minutes.
