What legislature is Netherlands?
The legislature of the Netherlands is a bicameral parliament called the States General. It consists of two chambers: the First Chamber (Eerste Kamer) and the Second Chamber (Tweede Kamer). The First Chamber is composed of 75 members who are elected by the provincial councils for a term of four years. The Second Chamber is composed of 150 members who are directly elected by proportional representation for a term of four years. The States General is responsible for passing laws, approving the budget, and overseeing the government.
