What are the two countries that border Suez Canal?

The Suez Canal is a man-made waterway located in Egypt that connects the Mediterranean Sea to the Red Sea. It separates the African continent from the Asian continent and is therefore bordered by two countries:

1. Egypt: The Suez Canal is entirely located within the territory of Egypt. The eastern bank of the canal belongs to the Sinai Peninsula, which is part of Egypt. The western bank of the canal belongs to mainland Egypt.

2. Israel: Although Israel does not directly border the Suez Canal, it is in close proximity to the canal's southern entrance. The Israeli city of Eilat is located at the northern tip of the Red Sea, just a few kilometers away from the southern end of the Suez Canal.
