Are there any deserts in Romania?
There are no true deserts in Romania, as the country experiences a moderate continental climate with four distinct seasons. However, there are some arid and semi-arid regions in the country, particularly in the southeastern part, which are characterized by low precipitation and sparse vegetation. These regions, known as the Romanian Steppe or Bărăgan Plain, have characteristics similar to semi-deserts, with hot and dry summers and cold winters.
