TV Channels for Scotland and Ireland: BBC Scotland, RTÉ, and More

There is no single TV channel dedicated jointly to Scotland and Ireland. Each nation has its own public and commercial broadcasters. However, several channels provide programming from or about both nations.

Scotland

• BBC Scotland (channel): Launched 2019 (replaced BBC Two Scotland). Mix of Scottish news, sport, documentaries, drama, comedy. Freeview 9, Sky 115, Virgin 108.
• BBC One Scotland / BBC Two Scotland (opt-outs): Regional news (Reporting Scotland), sport, local programming.
• STV (ITV franchise): Central Scotland (Glasgow/Edinburgh) & North (Aberdeen/Dundee). STV Player streaming.
• BBC ALBA: Gaelic-language channel (MG ALBA/BBC partnership). Freeview 8.

Ireland (Republic of Ireland)

• RTÉ One / RTÉ Two: Public broadcaster (license fee). News, sport (GAA, soccer, rugby), drama, soaps (Fair City). RTÉ Player streaming.
• Virgin Media One / Two / Three: Commercial (TV3 Group). Sport (Champions League, rugby), imports, Irish content.

Northern Ireland

• BBC One Northern Ireland / BBC Two NI: Opt-outs from BBC UK.
• UTV (ITV franchise): Local news, sport, entertainment.

Cross-Border / Pan-Celtic Content
