Why does Scotland not use euro?
Scotland is part of the United Kingdom and, as such, does not have its own currency. The official currency of the United Kingdom is the Pound Sterling (£). Scotland does, however, have its own banknotes, which are issued by three Scottish banks: the Bank of Scotland, the Royal Bank of Scotland, and the Clydesdale Bank. These banknotes are legal tender in Scotland but are not accepted in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland.
