How do the people in Mexico vote?

Mexicans vote for president, members of Congress, and other government officials on election day, which is the first Sunday in July every six years. The president is popularly elected for a single six-year term. Congress consists of a 128-member Senate and a 500-member Chamber of Deputies. Senators are popularly elected for six-year terms, while deputies are popularly elected for three-year terms.

Mexico's voting system is based on proportional representation. Each state is allocated a certain number of seats in the Chamber of Deputies based on its population.
