Is home brewing legal in Mexico?

Home brewing is legal in Mexico, but there are some restrictions. According to the Mexican Law on Production, Sale, and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages (Ley de Producción, Venta y Consumo de Bebidas Alcohólicas), individuals are allowed to brew beer for personal consumption, but they cannot sell it or distribute it to others. The law also states that home brewers must register their equipment with the Mexican Tax Administration Service (Servicio de Administración Tributaria, SAT).
