The Three Wise Men in Mexican Christmas Traditions

There is no tradition of the Magi "coming to Mexico" as a national event. The Three Wise Men (Magi) are biblical figures who visited the infant Jesus in Bethlehem.

In Mexico, as in many Catholic countries, Día de los Reyes Magos (Three Kings' Day) is celebrated on January 6 (Epiphany). Children receive gifts, and families share Rosca de Reyes (a sweet bread with a hidden figurine). However, the Christmas season's focus remains on the birth of Jesus (Nativity scenes, posadas, Christmas Eve dinner), not on the Magi's arrival in Mexico.
