Do most people in Mexico own a car?

Most people in Mexico do not own a car. In fact, only about 15% of Mexican households own a car, compared to 85% of American households. This is due to a number of factors, including the relatively low cost of public transportation, the high cost of gasoline, and the lack of parking space in many Mexican cities.
