The vast majority of Spanish speakers in Spain use the pronoun tú and its related verb forms to address one person informally, and the pronoun vosotros/as and its related verb forms when addressing two or more people informally. The pronoun ustedes and its related verb forms are used when addressing one or more people formally, regardless of the number of people addressed. Vosotros/as is still used in modern Spanish in certain regions of Spain and in some formal contexts, but its usage is declining overall.
