North Georgia Resorts With a Swimming Pool

Resorts in North Georgia offer vacationers the chance to hike and climb in the North Georgia Mountains, while canoeing and fishing activities are available in Chatuge Lake and the Chattahoochee River. Many of North Georgia's resorts provide indoor or outdoor swimming pool facilities for their guests. Most of the outdoor swimming pools at these resorts are only open during the spring and summer, due to colder climates during North Georgia's fall and winter seasons.

    • The Barnsley Gardens Resort is in northwestern Georgia and lodged in a manor built in the mid-19th century. The outdoor swimming pool at this resort features a sun deck and the Tiki Hut; this poolside bar offers cocktail drinks during the summer. Other resort recreation amenities include kayak rentals for the resort's lake, bicycle rentals and tennis courts. The resort's Unwind Spa offers massages and body treatments. Some of the suites have balconies with views of the resort's gardens; the bathrooms have claw-foot tubs. The Woodland's Grill, Barnsley Gardens' restaurant, offers fine dining and views of the resort's golf course.

    Two Wheels Only Motorcyle Resort

    • Situated in Suches, Georgia, the Two Wheel Only resort caters to motorcyclists. Open since the early 80s, this resort was one of the first motorcycle-only resorts. The resort has an outdoor swimming pool, which is open during the warm spring and summer months. Accommodation options include the main Lodge, and spots for tent camping. The Lodge has four rooms; three of the upstairs room share a bathroom, while guests in the downstairs room must use the facilities in the campground bath house. The Lodge's dining room serves breakfast and lunch.

    Brasstown Valley Resort and Spa

    • The Brasstown Valley Resort in Young Harris, Georgia, features an indoor/outdoor connecting pool; the pool area offers views of the surrounding North Georgia Mountains. The resort's property also has over eight miles of hiking trails and five mile for horseback riding; the resort also has an equestrian center with stables and a riding ring. Brasstown Valley dining options include the Dining Room in the resort's hotel, which offers seafood and steak entrees, and the Brasseries Grill, a casual eatery at the golf course's clubhouse. The resort is a 15-minute drive from boating and fishing activities at Chatuge Lake, a body of water that extends into North Carolina.

    Coosawattee River Resort

    • The Coosawattee River Resort in northeastern Georgia provides an Olympic-size indoor swimming pool in the resort's recreation center and outdoor pool, referred to as Pool II. Pool II has an adjacent picnic pavilion. The resort is within 10 minutes of fishing and kayaking activities on the Coosawattee River at Indian Fish Trap Park and East Park, located in nearby Beaver Forest. Wedding planners can take advantage of the on-site Water Tower Conference Center, which can be used for ceremonies or receptions. One-, two- and three-bedroom villas are available on the resort's property; these villas have living rooms, kitchens and dining areas.
