Are there koala bears in Latin America?
Koala bears (Phascolarctos cinereus) are native to Australia and can be found in certain eucalyptus forests along the eastern and southeastern coasts of the country, specifically in the states of New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia. Latin America is a vast region that encompasses most of the Americas south of the United States, and while it is home to a diverse array of wildlife, koala bears are not naturally found in any Latin American countries.
