Are the gulf of California and Mexico same thing?

The Gulf of California and Mexico are not the same thing. The Gulf of California is a sea that lies between the Baja California Peninsula and the Mexican mainland. Mexico is a country that borders the United States to the north, Guatemala and Belize to the south, and the Gulf of Mexico to the east.
