Where do Paraguay people live?

The overwhelming majority of Paraguayans live in the eastern half of the country, where the capital city of Asuncion is also located. The other major cluster of population is in the Alto Paraná region, which is a hub of agricultural activity. The Western half of the country, which is known as the Chaco, is sparsely populated due to its harsh conditions and lack of infrastructure.
