Tours of the Mayan Ruins in Cozumel

Cozumel, an island in the Gulf of Mexico off the Yucatan Peninsula, offers 24 Mayan Ruins that date back more than 2000 years. There are two primary sites for touring: San Gervasio (a temple built for the goddess of fertility and rain) and El Cedral (ruins later occupied by the Spanish conquistadors). While other companies provide tours to the ruins on mainland Mexico, several companies offer a variety of tours to these ancient sites without leaving the island.
