This area was once destined to be a residential complex, but thanks to Mexican officials it is now a social, cultural and sports complex offering the 120,000 local residents a recreational area. It is home to one of the artificial beach projects. It is scheduled to open for the season on July 25th with all the other artificial beach projects. The Mexico City government plans on offering concerts, contests and health services, like free mammograms, while the beach is open.
