Is there a Tonga tribe in America?

The Tongva are an indigenous people of California. They are the original people of the Los Angeles Basin, San Fernando Valley, and Santa Monica Bay areas. The Tongva are one of four tribes of the Gabrieleno-Tongva nation, which also includes the Kizh, the Gabrieleños, and the Fernandeños.

There are over 1,500 Tongva people living in California today, and more are scattered across the United States.
