Nazareth: Located in Northern Israel, Historic Hometown of Jesus

Nazareth is a city in the Northern District of Israel, in the Lower Galilee region. It lies ~20 km (12 mi) west of the Sea of Galilee and ~90 km (56 mi) north of Jerusalem. Revered as Jesus' childhood home, it is a major Christian pilgrimage center with a significant Arab Christian population. It falls under Israeli civil administration.
