The Great Dividing Range is the longest mountain range in New South Wales, Australia. It runs for over 3,500 kilometres (2,200 miles) from north to south, from the Atherton Tableland in Queensland to the Grampians in Victoria. The range forms the watershed between the rivers that flow to the Pacific Ocean and those that flow to the Indian Ocean. The highest point in the Great Dividing Range is Mount Kosciuszko, which is also the highest mountain in Australia.
