Three North American Peninsulas Between 20°–30° North Latitude
Three major peninsulas lie within the 20°–30° North latitude band in North America:
- Yucatán Peninsula (Mexico) – Separates the Gulf of Mexico from the Caribbean Sea. Home to Cancún, Mérida, and Mayan ruins.
- Baja California Peninsula (Mexico) – Extends ~775 miles south from the US border, separating the Pacific from the Gulf of California.
- Florida Peninsula (USA) – Projects southeast from the continental US, dividing the Atlantic from the Gulf of Mexico.
All three are biodiversity hotspots and major tourism destinations.
