Home of the legendary Motown Records, Detroit, Michigan was a big influence on the jazz and blues music scenes. If you are in Detroit for business or pleasure, several popular nightclubs continue Detroit's tradition of live music.
In 2010, Baker's Keyboard Lounge celebrated its 76th year of business. Started as a sandwich and beer joint in 1934, Baker's quickly turned into a live music venue. Baker's Keyboard Lounge has hosted some of the most famous acts in the world, including John Coltrane, Wynton Marsalis, Earl Klugh and Pepper Adams. The focus is on jazz and blues music, and the dim stage lighting and candles add a romantic ambiance. The full bar specializes in martinis and other classic cocktails.
