States Bordering Delaware: Pennsylvania (North), Maryland (South/West), New Jersey (East)

Delaware is a Mid-Atlantic state bordered by:

• Pennsylvania – to the north (12-mile arc boundary unique in US)
• Maryland – to the south and west
• New Jersey – to the east (across Delaware River/Bay)

It is the second-smallest state (after Rhode Island) and has only three counties (New Castle, Kent, Sussex). No other states touch Delaware.
