Open Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. during the spring and summer, the Madrona Farmer's Market offers you a place to get some healthy fare before heading out for the night. Beyond the delicious, local seafood, produce, honey and other fresh items you can pick up at the market, you can also enjoy the live local music that goes on until 7 p.m. And you can munch on some fresh bread, cheese, ice cream and pizzas from the market's concessionaires. All that eating will leave you ready to hit the town later in the evening.

In a more interactive version of the comedy show, audience members get a chance to take part in an improv show at Unexpected Productions' Seattle TheatreSports every Friday night. Audience members suggest themes for the troupe of comedians to act out, and the troupe uses that theme for its comedic routine. The best suggestion wins the audience member free admission to the next show. TheatreSports happens every Friday and Saturday night in Market Theater, in the Post Alley of Pike Place Market.

If dancing and drinking are your cup of tea, the place to find the most action in Seattle is the area around Pioneer Square. Some of the most popular nightclubs in the city are located within blocks of each other. Check out Heaven's Friday night Ladies Night Out, featuring cabaret shows and electronic and dance DJs. Or check out the Last Supper Club, which features live DJs doing electronic music on the club's upper floor, and hip-hop on the lower floor every Friday night. Also located near Pioneer Square is the Trinity Nightclub, featuring a live local radio broadcast in one room, electronic DJs in another room and hip-hop DJs in a third room.
