Lesbian Travel in Oregon

Oregon has many cosmopolitan and lesbian-friendly towns and cities. Portland, particularly, is extremely lesbian and gay friendly, with many bars and clubs to suit travelers of all ages.
  1. Out Kayaking

    • If you are a sporty traveler and wish to partake in extreme sports, you can go for a kayaking journey with the Out Kayaking club. Aimed at lesbian and gay kayak enthusiasts, the clubs offers trips up the waters of Oregon and Washington. Membership is a free; there are usually two kayak planned trips per month.

    Bars and Clubs

    • Salem has the Speakeasy bar in South Salem. The Southside Speakeasy is a lesbian and gay bar/club, but all are welcome. It offers karaoke nights on Mondays; the food is very good and reasonably priced. Friday and Saturday nights get loud, with the club DJ taking requests via text message.

    Enjoy Some Pride

    • Salem lesbian and gay Pride is usually held around the first weekend of August. If you intend on traveling through Oregon during that time of the year, the Pride festival will offer endless entertainment and things to do. There are shows, marches, booths and vendors selling items like jewelry and collectibles. Enjoy the sunny scenes of the Gateway Park; meet new lesbian friends and other travelers.
