Port Canaveral is the second most active cruise port in the world and the only deep-water port between Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville. Set sail on one of the cruise lines that frequent the port, including Royal Caribbean, Disney, Carnival, Holland America and Norwegian Cruise.

Visit the local oasis of Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. Merritt provides a protected habitat to more endangered species than any other refuge in the country. Highlights include the Atlantic loggerhead turtle and the southern bald eagle.
Kennedy Space Center is a one hour drive from Port Canaveral. Wander through the Rocket Garden, where Apollo and Gemini-era rockets are on display.
