At the Aquamarina Country Club, the course follows the natural topography of the land. Animals spotted on this course include bobcats, horned owls, snapping turtles, alligators and a rare Florida Panther. On the Spessard Holland Course, golfers are treated to an ocean view and fairways lined with palm trees.
Bay Dream Charters offers a snorkeling day trip that gives guests an underwater experience with manatees, sea turtles and exotic fish. Guests are given a snorkel, mask and fins and are taken on a boat off the coast to safe waters that they can explore. Knowledgeable guides detail the history of the area where Spanish treasure has been found in the past. If by chance the weather doesn't permit the trip out to sea, guests can swim in the lagoon just inside the inlet of the marina.
The waters around Melbourne Beach attract anglers from all over Florida. Many rent boats in nearby Sebastian Inlet and sail out to the sea to catch snook, snapper, bluefish, ladyfish, tarpon and Spanish mackerel. The area is also known for shrimp, crabs and clams if you want to add some local seasoning to your fishing schedule.
Melbourne Beach offers a view of the Atlantic Ocean similar to Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
