Located in Tampa, Adventure Island is a 30-acre water park that has slides, waterfalls, playgrounds and many areas for soaking up the sun. Children can play in Fabian's Fun Court, which features a small wave pool, water guns and jungle gyms. The more adventurous people in your group can navigate the slides and corkscrews that dot the park. When you're ready to relax, pick a chair in the sun or ride a tube down the Rambling Bayou, a half-mile "lazy river" that takes you through a rain forest and cooling waterfalls.
With a mission to educate the public, conduct marine research and release injured or sick sea creatures back into the wild, the Marine Aquarium of Clearwater offers a number of exhibits for people to experience. Visitors of the aquarium can view dolphins in underground tunnels or see them perform jumps and tricks in daily shows. Sea turtles and stingrays are housed in several man-made coves where people can either observe them from a deck or touch them under supervision. A 125-seat theater shows videos that detail how the facility rescues and rehabilitates sick animals.
Created by former circus performers Dolly Jacobs and Pedro Reis, Circus Sarasota is dedicated to both entertaining and serving the community. Outreach programs provide volunteers to nursing homes, day care centers and hospitals. The five-ring show itself features trapeze artists, jugglers, musicians and clowns as well as various tents that have face painting, games and snacks. The circus offers group and corporate tickets at discounted rates.
