  1. Reelfoot Lake State Park

    • In late 1811 and early 1812, western Tennessee was struck by a series of catastrophic earthquakes. The last earthquake is presumed to be the strongest earthquake ever experienced in North America. Reelfoot Lake, which is an 18,000 acre lake, was formed during these quakes. Visit the Raptors Cage located behind the museum and see the eagles, hawks, and owls. Take a walk around the boardwalk and view an eagle's nest. Enjoy the bald eagle tours or pontoon boat cruises. Reelfoot is also a well-known fisherman's paradise.

    Pickwick Belle at Pickwick Dam

    • Tour Pickwick Lake and the Tennessee River aboard the Pickwick Belle. This beautiful riverboat offers family cruises, group tours, and romantic dinner cruises. Special events include fall foliage, Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas moonlight, Cookies with Santa, New Year's Eve Celebration, eagle sighting, Mardi Gras, Valentine's dinner, Bunny and Easter stories cruises.     Green Frog Pioneer Village

    • Green Frog demonstrates life in the south during the early twentieth century. Historic sites include a print shop, one-room school house, church, general store, and blacksmith shop. Tour the Cotton Museum of the South and learn about the cotton plant, how it sparked inventions and affected the local economy and culture. Learn about the ginning process and how rural southerners lived. The May Chapel is a beautiful setting for weddings with 100 guests or fewer. In the autumn, families can enjoy a relaxing hayride through the cotton field and pumpkin patch.

    Tennessee Safari Park

    • The Tennessee Safari Park is owned and operated by the Conley family. The park contains over 300 animals from 63 species. Feed and pet animals such as Perniscus spider monkeys, fennec foxes, red kangaroos, white-bearded wildebeasts, dromedary camels, Australian black swans, Damara zebras, American bison, two-toed sloths, Dama gazelles, warthogs, black and white ruffled lemurs and more.
