Dunedin is located approximately five miles north of Clearwater along Florida's Gulf Coast. With a population of 35,000, Dunedin offers a small town atmosphere with shops, restaurants, boutiques, beaches, and a marina. The mild climate offers visitors a variety of activities and attractions throughout the year.
  1. Honeymoon Island State Park

    • Honeymoon Island State Park is located at the extreme end of State Road 586, across the Dunedin Causeway. With approximately four miles of shoreline, swimming, snorkeling, and shelling are popular activities for visitors. The park boasts a 2.5-mile nature trail through one of South Florida's last remaining virgin slash pine forests. Osprey, snowy egrets, roseate spoonbills, great blue herons, gopher tortoises, and armadillos are commonly seen on the Island. Anglers can enjoy catches of redfish, snapper, pompano, tarpon, flounder, snook, and many others. The Rotary Centennial Nature Center offers a unique view into the island's history, and has exhibits of animals and birds that call Honeymoon Island home.

    Baseball

    • For over 25 years, the Toronto Blue Jays have called Dunedin their spring training home. When minor league baseball returns for the summer season, the Dunedin Blue Jays hit the field for play in the Florida State League. Dunedin Stadium can host 5,510 fans, and has been ranked by Sports Illustrated as one of the top five facilities to watch a Major League Baseball spring training game. The facility is a community ballpark additionally used by Dunedin High School and various community events.

    Dunedin Golf Club

    • Designed by legendary golf course architect Donald Ross, Dunedin Golf Club opened in January1927. It was the original PGA national headquarters course with Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, and Ben Hogan having played there. During 2006 and 2007, the facility was restored with the rebuilding of greens, tees, and bunkers to their original course design. This semi-private golf course is open all year to the public and features practice greens, a driving range, chipping area, a restaurant, a pro shop, and four PGA professionals on staff. Championship yardage is set at 6,605, men's yardage set at 6,245 with par for both at 72. Women's yardage is 5,433 with par at 72.
