Do all rivers start at the top of a mountaintop?

Not all rivers start at the top of a mountaintop. While many rivers do originate in mountainous areas, there are other sources of rivers as well. Some rivers begin as springs that emerge from the ground, while others start in wetlands or swamps. Additionally, some rivers are formed by the confluence of two or more smaller rivers.
