According to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (near Las Vegas, Nevada) receives an average of 2 million visitors per year.
The 197,000-acre area—known for its towering red sandstone formations (Aztec Sandstone), scenic 13-mile loop drive, hiking trails, rock climbing, and wildlife—is one of the most visited BLM sites in the U.S. Peak seasons are spring (wildflowers, mild temps) and fall; summer brings extreme heat (>100°F / 38°C).
Visitor numbers have grown steadily with Las Vegas tourism. The BLM manages crowding via timed-entry reservations (implemented 2022) for the scenic drive during peak months.
