Otaru is located northwest of Tokyo, in Hokkaido, Japan. To get from Tokyo to Otaru, you can take the Shinkansen bullet train to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. From there, take the Hokkaido Railway Hakodate Main Line to Otaru Station.
