Find employment in Dubai from a local company or a foreign company based in Dubai. You can not get an employment visa until you have a valid job offer or a work contract.
Wait for your new employer to initiate the process and apply for an employment or work visa on your behalf. The employer typically pays for the fees and expenses associated with your visa application.
Get your labor card. Once the Immigration Department has validated your work contract and made sure the paperwork your employer submitted is in order, the Immigration Department will issue your labour card.
Apply for a residence visa. A residence visa is mandatory if you are settling in Dubai for employment. Bring your labor card, a copy of your residential lease or rental agreement, and a valid passport to the Immigration Department.
Pass a medical examination. Immigration will test for HIV, tuberculosis, and hepatitis C.
Wait for the Immigration Department, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the embassy or consulate in your home country to authenticate your documents, verify that you are between 18 and 60 years of age, and posses the particular skills or qualifications needed in the United Arab Emirates.
Get your residence visa. The residence visa is valid for three years and renewable every three years.
