Israel cruises stop in the Port of Ashdod and Port of Haifa. The Port of Ashdod is located 25 miles south of Tel Aviv and was built as the third port, after Haifa and Eilat. Ashdod is one of the few deep water ports in the world built directly on the open sea, opening in 1965. The Port of Haifa is Israel's largest natural deep water harbor. Haifa's port opened in 1933. Israel cruises commonly include visits to Egypt, Greece, Italy, Spain and Turkey.

    Costa Cruises - Pacifica

    • Pacifica sails for 11 days through five countries on a Mediterranean Holy Land itinerary. Embark in Savona, Italy, and travel to Olympia and Athens, Greece, en route to Izmir, Turkey. After a day at sea, arrive in Ashdod (Jerusalem) from early morning to mid-evening. Next morning, wake up for a full day in Port Said, followed by a one and one-half day stop in Alexandria, Egypt. From Egypt, Pacifica sails across the Mediterranean for Rome (Civitavecchia) for a full day before arriving in the disembarkation port of Savona.

      Costa's Pacifica is a new (2009) and large (950 feet and 3,000 passengers) cruise ship. Onboard are five restaurants ranging from elegant to casual, along with 13 bars and lounges. For activities, Pacifica has four swimming pools and four Jacuzzis, outdoor movie theater (shows under the stars) and a golf simulator. Noteworthy about the Pacifica is the variety of music playing throughout the ship during the cruise. At the end of the cruise, passengers can purchase the 29 soundtracks played on board on two CDs.

    Oceania Cruises - Nautica

    • Join Nautica on a 14-night "Roman Revelations" cruise to seven countries surrounding the Mediterranean. Leave Barcelona, Spain, stopping for a full day in Malta before a day at sea en route to Crete. On the following day, spend a full day in port at Cairo and Port Said, Egypt.
