Head to Carnival Cruises.com. See the link below. Register and then sign up to receive their free vacation-planning DVD. You don't really need it, but it will be fun to watch and give you a visual of what you can expect on board a Carnival ship.
Stay on the home page and go to the box that says "Quick search." Filling in as much information as you can here will narrow your search so you can choose what cruise you want to book. For example, click destinations and choose Jamaica from the drop-down menu. Then click departure port. There are two other drop-down menus that will narrow your search. They are travel dates (the dates you want to go to Jamaica) and how long of a cruise are you planning. Most people either choose five days or seven days. Click search and you will get a list of cruises available for your specific dates that go to Jamaica.
Decide what kind of stateroom you want for the cruise. There are staterooms that have no window; window staterooms; rooms with a balcony; suites and penthouses. You can view each room right from the Website, which will help you make your choice. Click Funships at the top and staterooms from the drop-down menu. You can click around each room to make the view do a 360-degree spin.
Check out the Jamaica excursions so you can plan what you would like to do while in Jamaica. You will also be able to see how much each excursion costs per person so you can bring the right about of money. Some excursions you can take involve horseback riding, a Bob Marley bus adventure, Bobsled Jamaica, Dunns River falls, Dolphin encounters, golfing, Dune Buggy rides, snorkeling, kayaking, shopping, rafting, tubing, and much much more. Just click excursions from the top menu and type in Western Caribbean, Ochos Rios, Jamaica. You will then get the full list to choose from. The dollar signs on the side indicate how expensive the excursion is.
Book your cruise. You can do this online or by calling them at 1-800-CARNIVAL. You will want to call if you have any special needs that they can accommodate you with. Otherwise, it is quick and easy to book your trip online. Go to the list of cruises you found based on your criteria from the quick search. Click on the one you want and it will take you to a page with the itinerary for that trip. There will also be a link to book that cruise. Click on it and choose your room. Then fill out your information and your credit card information. When done, Carnival will send you your tickets and tags for your luggage in the mail. Make sure your bags are properly delivered.
