You need to know the size of your boat and if the marina can accommodate it. If you want to explore the area by boat but don't own one you need to find a marina that has boat rentals or that provides charter services.
Research marinas. You can see what marinas are in specific areas of the Bahamas online at websites like Marina Mate. If possible, talk with someone who has recently visited the Bahamas by boat. A travel agent can usually provide you with information on marinas that are more popular.
Contact the marinas that interest you. Call or e-mail the marinas that are the best fit for your criteria. Have a list of things that you expect to find at the marina and find out if the marina can accommodate those things. If the marina can't, ask for a referral to one that can.
