Where is Sitka Alaska?

Sitka is located on Baranof Island in the Alexander Archipelago of the Pacific Ocean, in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Alaska.

It is roughly 300 miles (483 km) south of Juneau, the state capital, and 55 miles (89 km) west-northwest of Petersburg.

The community is approximately 1,150 air miles (1,850 km) northwest of Seattle, Washington.
