Precipitation: Moderate, mostly late summer. Growing season 100–150 days.
Vegetation: Dominated by taiga (coniferous forests: spruce, fir, pine, larch). Open areas have lichens, mosses, shrubs.
Wildlife: Moose, reindeer, elk, wolves, bears, beavers, lynx.
Permafrost: Soil frozen year-round in some areas, affecting infrastructure and plant growth.
Human Activity: Sparse population; resource extraction (forestry, mining) and indigenous subsistence (hunting, fishing, trapping).
