Was the promontory point was meeting place of central pacific and Kansas railroad lines?

The Central Pacific and Kansas Pacific railroads never had a meeting point at a promontory point. The Central Pacific met with the Union Pacific at Promontory Summit, Utah, during the driving of the golden spike on May 10, 1869.
