Where are the Micronesian and Polynesian islands located?

Micronesia and Polynesia are two of the three major island groups in the Pacific Ocean. The third group is Melanesia. Micronesia is located north of the equator and east of the Philippines. It includes the islands of Guam, Micronesia, Kiribati, Nauru, and the Marshall Islands. Polynesia is located to the east of Micronesia and south of the equator. It includes the islands of Hawaii, Easter Island, Cook Islands, Samoa, New Zealand, Easter Island, and Kiribati.
