Are icebergs commonly deposit ocean sediments on land?

Icebergs generally do not deposit significant amounts of ocean sediments on land. While icebergs can transport and release small amounts of debris or "glacial flour" in their vicinity, large-scale deposition of ocean sediments typically requires sustained and localized interactions between ice and the coastline. This process is more commonly associated with glaciers that terminate on land or ice sheets grounded on the continental shelf.
